Condition: I have never had this piece on display. It has been stored in its original box for the past 21 years. The piece was on display where I purchased it but the doll looks brand new and has no defects. The box is in overall Very Good condition. The box has a few dings and scuffs and some glue dried out that was keeping the outer slip case together. For the safety of the piece, I neatly taped the slip case together again. Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
In 1983, the Goebel Company announced a completely new line of M I Hummel dolls. The heads, hands and feet of the new dolls were to be made of the same or similar ceramic type material as the figurines. The bodies are a soft, stuffed material. They are roughly 15 inches tall, each having the M. I. Hummel signature and the date of production year. The first four to be released were: Postman, On Holiday, Boy from Birthday Serenade and Girl from Birthday Serenade. They were released at a suggested retail price of $175 each and production was limited to the year 1984. In 1985, four new dolls were introduced. The dolls were Lost Sheep, Easter Greetings, Signs of Spring and Carnival. These dolls were only produced during 1985.
